Finally Finishing...

I have finally finished some projects that have been clogging up my workspace. Thanks to the Olympics I have been sitting in one place long enough to get some sewing done.  LOL!

First is a 47" wall hanging for over our fireplace.  The pattern is Bittersweet Briar Cotton-and-Wool by Kim Diehl.  It has a few added embroidery embellishments by me.

Second project is a quilt made for a friend.  The pattern is Line Art by Holly Hickman.  I found it in the winter 2010 Quilts and More magazine.

Third project is an origami jacket made from 6 fat quarters.  I made two and put them together to create a reversible jacket.

Thankfully there are more Olympics to watch as I have more projects to finish up.  Feels good to have these done.

  1. Lorna! These are so beautiful! What a nice gift for your friend, and I am breathless over the reversible jacket made out of fat quarters. My favorite, though, might be the wall hanging. I love your embroidered additions especially, it must look stunning hanging over your fireplace!
