Welcome

This blog is devoted to all things quilted and handmade. I have a new found love affair with quilts. I LOVE the colors, fabrics, designs and love that is sewn into quilts. Along with this new addiction comes a world of wonderfully kind and creative women (with a couple men thrown in for variety...LOL!). Please enjoy your stay here. I hope it will fuel your own creativity...

It has been a while...wow!

Looks like I have been neglecting this blog for quite a while.  Sorry,  I hope to get back into the swing of things now.  I just finished this dog portrait and thought I would post it here.  Hopefully I will keep this more updated with the various projects that occupy my time. :)

Flowerbed pattern by Sue Spargo

After a year in the sewing, I finally finished my Flowerbed wall hanging.  Probably not the best picture, but it looks great in person. :)  I really love this one...so bright and cheerful.

Making progress.  Now to do the border.  I am modifying the design of the border to fit my taste, so I have some planning to do.  I just love this Sue Spargo Flowerbed.
I also have another little project in the works.  I am making this to hang over the sliding door in my kitchen.  by Threads That Bind it is #204 Bountiful Blessings

Doodling

Spent some time doodling today.  When I took a step back to view it I saw this clown face in the middle.  Now no matter what I add all I see is the clown face. Aaaarrrrrgggghhhhh!!

Recycled sweater quilt

I just finished this wool quilt made from recycled sweaters.  I put a flannel back on it so it wouldn't be scratchy to anyone affected by wool.  It is soooo warm!  I am definitely making another one...soon as I find more sweaters to felt and cut up.  LOL!  I have another quilt in the works and a table runner and wall hanging so stay tuned for further posts...
