Welcome

This blog is devoted to all things quilted and handmade. I have a new found love affair with quilts. I LOVE the colors, fabrics, designs and love that is sewn into quilts. Along with this new addiction comes a world of wonderfully kind and creative women (with a couple men thrown in for variety...LOL!). Please enjoy your stay here. I hope it will fuel your own creativity...

Free BOM

How very fun...Jackie over at Canton Village Quilt Works is organizing a free BOM quilt along!  It starts September 2011 and runs to October 2012.  Each month's block will be designed by a different talented designer.  Block designs come out on the 25th of the month...please check back here to watch my progress. :)
You can join the fun...all the information is on Jackie's blog.  Click here to find it or click the button on the side of my blog.

I made a funky steampunk type bracelet today...it was fun.  I might have to make a few more of these.

summer knitting

I love having a summer knitting project or 2 going.  Here is one that I actually completed...LOL!  It is a long vest and worn 'upside down' becomes a cute little shrug.  It will be perfect when the cool fall weather arrives.

I have a new granddaughter on the way!  This yarn just begged to be purchased and made into a comfy little afghan for her. It is so soft and light weight.  The yarn is Bernat Pipsqueak and the edging is Red Heart Moon & Stars Limeade. What a fun spring project when it is so snowy and cold outside.

Last of the quilts in 2010

The last of my quilt projects for 2010.  This is a quilt made for my wonderful husband...it has been 3-4 yrs in the making.  Somehow projects for others always got pushed in ahead of his.  Good thing he is a patient man.  It is the 'Tobacco Road' pattern from the book More! Laps From Fats by Ellen Replogle.  I loved this pattern.
