I recently took a class in doll making from a fabulous fiber artist, Barbara Bend. She her beautiful work here. My doll is still a work in progress, but due to the upcoming holidays she will have to wait. I thought I would share her anyway. I think she needs a name, but nothing comes to mind right now.

Finally Finishing...
I have finally finished some projects that have been clogging up my workspace. Thanks to the Olympics I have been sitting in one place long enough to get some sewing done. LOL!
First is a 47" wall hanging for over our fireplace. The pattern is Bittersweet Briar Cotton-and-Wool by Kim Diehl. It has a few added embroidery embellishments by me.

Second project is a quilt made for a friend. The pattern is Line Art by Holly Hickman. I found it in the winter 2010 Quilts and More magazine.
Third project is an origami jacket made from 6 fat quarters. I made two and put them together to create a reversible jacket.
Thankfully there are more Olympics to watch as I have more projects to finish up. Feels good to have these done.

summer knitting
I love having a summer knitting project or 2 going. Here is one that I actually completed...LOL! It is a long vest and worn 'upside down' becomes a cute little shrug. It will be perfect when the cool fall weather arrives.

Last of the quilts in 2010
The last of my quilt projects for 2010. This is a quilt made for my wonderful husband...it has been 3-4 yrs in the making. Somehow projects for others always got pushed in ahead of his. Good thing he is a patient man. It is the 'Tobacco Road' pattern from the book More! Laps From Fats by Ellen Replogle. I loved this pattern.
